Even as large as the library was, it was still able to be cozily lit with a crackling fire place. Of course, this was just one of the many rooms the library had. This one was often used by Mina as a quiet reading room.
Currently the said vampiress was curled up slightly on a very squishy and comfortable armchair with a large book between her pale slender hands.
Her long soft black hair was framed around her face in a gentle wave style and accented her playful golden amber eyes. Mina's clothing was just a simple pair of black shorts and a crimson tank top along with black fingerless gloves on her hands.
Mina's eyes ran over the words in the book, eating them up hungrily as fast as she did when she was feeding. The books title was covered slightly by her knees but what you could see was in French.
She remained motionless, only the rising and falling of her chest showing any indication that she wasn't a sculpture. Her mate was absent from the room, though she paid no attention to this fact. The book she was reading consumed most of her attention anyway.

Sarai was a silent as the shadows themselves...a simple gliding figure that moved like liquid through the halls. She was graceful and beautiful, tawny locks pinned back in a bun that dangled with curls. Her black hood was down, revealing a pale but porcelain-perfect face and dazzling dark golden eyes. She was flawless and quite mesmerizing. But the only one to see her tonight would be the lone girl in the library. After all, few ever wished to sit and read these days. It was a relief to find even one of them.
She was in the main room of the library in a human's breath. She looked over at Mina, a warm smile on her face despite her icy skin. The other vampire seemed quite content next to the fireplace, curled up and reading comfortably. Sarai had done that many times before, yet normally she was alone. Perhaps she was intruding on this girl's isolation from the rest of the squabbling vampires of the Volterra. Then again, Sarai was different from all the others.
She would be noticed at any time and recognized before even that. She knew that her scent was strange...sweet as a human's might be. A lot about Sarai unnerved people, and yet she seemed oblivious to this. She seemed so calm...emotionless. Who knew that she never stopped thinking. It was a shame that Aro could not read her thoughts or memories...perhaps that would have given the vampires a clue as to why she remained unique.
Sarai sat down on a couch opposite of Mina, a small red book with golden letters in her hands. The pages glittered in the firelight and the words of the front flickered. "Via Purifico" Sarai sat the book in her lap and blinked once, looked over to where the other vampire sat.
"It is a pleasure to meet you Mina Blade. My name is Sarai. I think you and I share something in common..."

Even though a sweet human scent invaded Mina's privacy, she did not stop reading her book but rather listened for the human's thoughts. She heard a faint whisper but nothing more and her eyes lifted from the French words.
The amber globes immediatly found Sarai and her full red lips went into their soft smile even as confused as she was. Mina tried a little more to listen to the other female's thoughts and once again failed to find anything but ghosts of whispers.
One of her gloved hands found the red book mark on the floor and slid it between the pages of her book. Her knees opened the very slightest, allowing the heavy book to fall between them, then closed quickly. The book shut with a quiet thud that echoed through the library halls before Mina placed it on the floor where the bookmark had just been resting.
The vampiress stretched before speaking to the other woman though didn't move from her sideways, curled up position. She must have been a vampire to, being able to wander the halls as she did.
"Pleasure. And what is this that we share in common?"
Mina's eyes scanned the other vampire and noticed the book that was placed in her lap. Her lips didn't change from their smile but the smile finally reached her eyes.
"Our love for quiet and books?"
She asked softly and leaned her head against the arm of the armchair she sat in. After being pulled from her book world, her thoughts began to shift towards her mate. Where was he? Surely he wouldn't be gone for much longer.
As if he heard her thoughts, Gabriel began to make his way to the giant library but took his time in coming. There was no rush for him to get there as much as he did want to hold Mina in his arms after so long of being seperated. Sure it was only a day, but it seemed like a lifetime.
His black hair was longer then most guys would wear it though it only brought his sapphire eyes to shine brighter. If he was a human he would still have the label of 'emo' even though he was 36 with the appearance of an 18 year old.

Sarai watched the vampire girl get even more cozy, an inner smiling begging to twitch on her lips. Sarai's golden eyes glittered, their amber cores far from dark tonight. In fact, she had a bit of a glow to her tonight. Lately, she had been having issues with the Three. Of course, she and Aro had gotten into a bit of a spat...but what else had changed?
Her position with the Volturi perhaps? Caius had never enjoyed her presence or her values...and then again, he had always been this way. Sarai did not worry much. Marcus was as indecisive as always and Aro would always have his conflicted feelings. Though they knew one day they would share the feelings of mutual respect for each other as enemies, he still looked upon her as a daughter or grand daughter.
She blinked, her long eyelashes dipping low. Her voice was velvet soft. "In common? Yes, of course we both love books. I would expect nothing less of a woman in the greatest of libraries. Still, I know quite well that we share something else in common. I do believe you have a small idea of what I may be mentioning...?"
At the edge of her consciousness, Sarai felt two things. One was a gentle prodding. As if the protective walls around her mind were being inspected, or climbed. Still, she felt no real danger and moved on to the latter issue. Someone else was arriving...
Sarai looked to the exact spot that Gabriel would enter in only a few seconds. She was silent. She could not predict the future, nor could see have scented him from here. But there was always that strangeness that she possessed. Her golden eyes never left the door, that was about to be opened...

Just as Sarai had predicted, Gabriel opened the doors that she was looking at. He closed them quietly then turned around to see a woman sitting on a couch across from his mate.
He moved forward, hardly making a sound, while sensing the atmosphere. It was calm and relaxed so Mina must have been okay with the 'human'. He knew she couldn't possibly be a human for any humans here were food for the Three.
Gabriel's sapphire eyes moved from the woman to Mina while he walked. A smile touched his lips before he leaned down to place a kiss on hers.
Mina sat up quickly and stared at the door when she sensed her Gabriel coming. Her full lips curved into a happy smile and her amber eyes shone with matching excitment.
Once he had entered the room, her pale arms rose up to embrace him and stayed there until he pressed his lips to hers. Once that happened, her arms dropped around his neck for a moment.
Mina pulled away from him, remembering she had company, and scooted over in the large chair so he could sit.
Gabriel sat down then pulled her onto his lap before wrapping his marble-like arms around her waist and resting his chin on her shoulder to look at Sarai.
"This is my mate, Gabriel."
She announced to the other vampiress, still with a smile on her face. Mina was much more happier now that he was present, he had been absent for a long time. One day was forever for her.

Sarai smiled softly at the arrival of her new friend's mate. She had seen him only a few times, though never had spoken to him personally. She believed that he was an animal-blood drinker, but she could not be sure. Her golden eyes flickered to each of their faces, admiring the strong and caring relationship they had between one another. Still, she was one to go searching for a mate of her own.
"It is a pleasure to meet you Gabriel. I am Sarai. It is lovely to be meeting the two of you at last. Please...I hope I am not interrupting anything..." Her voice was sweet and laced with velvet, just as the rest of her kind spoke. Perhaps it was their nature or something else...but Sarai felt comfortable with this conversation. Several vampires wanted nothing to do with her as of late.
Her fingers traced little patterns over the leather of the couch she sat in. Of course, these patterns were nothing in particular, but merely swirls and lines drawn about with her nail. She was relaxed here in the library. It seemed so safe and distant from the rest of Volterra. Here it was quiet and cozy, while elsewhere she only felt the sadistic and sarcastic influences of the other vampires. It was a relief that Gabriel and Mina were here instead of Caius...she needed a break from the constant bickering that he and his followers drowned her with.
(Short.... >.< Sorry, lol )

"Its okay, your not interupting anything. In fact, its Gabe who interupted."
Mina teased her mate, elbowing him slightly in the chest. She was rewarded with a small 'oof' even though she hardly did anything.
She continued smiling at Sarai, quite comfortable with the other vampiress and getting a relaxed calmness from Gabriel. Although she didn't need him to change her mood for her since the library already calmed her down and was making her feel cozy.
Gabriel thought about who exactly Sarai was, her name sounded very familier. He smiled slightly at the woman.
"Its nice to meet you. Are you the one who the Three have been arguing with?"
He asked, his voice was deep and aluring. The quality was enhanced when he was turned by Mina, furthering his charm. He watched her for a moment more before placing a gentle kiss on Mina's neck to show his affection. Gabriel felt her shiver slightly and smiled again, placing his chin back on the crook of her neck.
((>_> I know what you mean))

Sarai gave a small grin, admiring these two's relationship once more. She was soon surprised to find that Gabriel saw a different view of her reputation. She actually found it quite amusing, her topaz eyes glittering. She had indeed been arguing with the Three as of late. Lovely how rumor spread fast.
"Indeed I am," she replied, running a pale hand through her golden hair. "It seems that a few select Volturi don't quite agree with my way of life. Of course, Aro would be slow to argue with his own creation. But still...I am afraid that the Volturi do not see the killing of animals instead of humans... traditional."
She leaned back into the chair she perched in so gracefully. Her eyes did not need to move to know that not another soul dwelt in this room. Her senses were always peaked, aware and calculating. Still, here she was much more relaxed than usual. Gabriel and Mina's calm aided in making her feel more comfortable in this setting.
"I have heard though..." she said softly, her eyes still enchanting and capturing Mina, "that I am not alone in my...diet. Am I not correct? Please, tell me if I am mistaken, but is it true that you and your mate refrain from the blood of humans as much as possible? If so, I do think I may have friends in the city..."

Mina's eyes took a laughing quality as Sarai's voice sounded dry as she talked about the Three. She smiled as her mate and her new friend spoke to each other, Gabriel was a flirt at times but he knew when to stay controlled.
She gave a small nod to the other woman at the question. Opening her red lips to speak the thoughts she often had came out.
"I don't see the need to kill the race that lives like us. We are...evolved from them, so to speak. Some see them as food, I see them as...fragile friends. The lust we have for blood can be sustand without killing those who fear us enough to hunt us down like before."
Mina smiled at the end of her words and leaned back into Gabriel's marble chest comfortably. The fire crackled quietly, making her amber eye glow even more then they had before.
"And once...we were human too...The only thing I wish that we had that they do...is the ability to-" She paused, a look of pain crossing her features for a moment, "give birth." A wiry smile came forth for a moment before a new smile.
Gabriel sighed, the topic between them had been brought up but wasn't talked about often since they shared enough love and cared for each other.
"But no race can have everything. Now, I've heard of a few scattered groups of vampires who don't drink human blood but live from animal blood like we do. We're too relaxed and comfortable here in Volterra to want to move to be with more of our kind who share our ideals. Its nice to know that there are others in our city that we can relate to."
He squeezed Mina's arms for a moment and spread out a new emotion, one of cheerfulness still mixed in with the relaxation he had in place before. It was good that he controlled emotions like he did, it helped anytime at all.

Sarai smiled at the happy couple, a feeling in the back of her mind making her wonder if she should look for this kind of relationship. She had never flirted with another before and had a feeling that she'd make a fool of herself. After all, those who were members of the Volturi were supposed to be dignified and careful...surely a mate would ruin all that.
But deep down, Sarai did not believe what ran through her head.
Sarai felt a pulse in the atmosphere and the hairs on the back of her neck rose. She sensed something...invisible to the eye, radiating from Gabriel and directed at Mina. What was this? It took her a moment to concentrate on the issue until her mind told her what was happening.
"You control emotions..." It was not a question, but something that had just been made clear. There was a tad bit of wonder in her voice as her golden eyes glittered at the thought of such an ability. She knew that her own was different...and slightly strange, but his power was quite useful. She knew of only one other vampire that could alter emotions...a boy that lived with a family in America. She only wished she could get to know the Cullens a little bit better.

Liliana, was in her room thinking of many things at once. She suddenly felt dizzy and she screamed at the top of her lungs before fainting. She suddenly saw a room filled with books. She saw three people in there. She could tell that two of them were mates from the way they sat with each other. She could tell it was near the end of their conversation. She figured out that one of them was wishing she could know the Cullens better. She could sense it. Suddenly she saw the room getting darker, and then she was back in her room. She opened her eyes and her whole family was there. Even the Cullens, who she knew through Bella. She told them what she saw and asked if they could visit this girl. Edward asked her if it was in Volterra. She didn't have to answer him because he could hear her thoughts but she did anyway. She said, Yes, it is. I have been thinking about that place for along time. They all agreed they should visit them for a few days. Finally the Cullens left her room. The Blacks and the Brights stayed. They told her they would leave the Cullens house once they got back. Liliana agreed and they all made plans to travel to Virginia in the mountains once they got home.
